1. Take pictures of existing dents and scratches
In auto transport, there is a lot of conditions drivers and their trucks have to face. A lot of conditions than can be proven harmful to your car. Now, this may not happen usually in some cases but that doesn’t mean anything cannot happen. These can help you in cases if anything happens to the car in transport. A dent, a scratch, sometimes parts missing off the car, are all things that can happen to the car when transporting but it doesn’t mean it can be overlooked. Make sure you take this pictures to put your self in goof hands.
2. Seal all Tears and Openings
If you have a convertible car, make sure to take proper precaution to ensure debris, dirt and whatever the roads carry. Any seals and rips ? Make sure to get it taped up with duct tape or electric tape. There any many conditions the trucks face, and you need to make sure your car is ready for that.
3. Wash your car
Nobody likes a dirty car, but just to be on the safe side, please make sure your car is clean. If it isn’t cleaned interior and exterior, you will not be able to see dents and scratches before and after you ship the car easier. It will make before shipping, inspection easier, and after shipping.
4. Keep Extra keys
It is not a good idea to give the driver your only part of keys, as stuff can happen that would lead to the keys becoming lost, but getting multiple keys as back ups is a better idea.
5. Remove all personal objects
When giving your car to the auto transport company, it is imperative to make sure that all of your personal objects are removed to ensure they don’t get taken or lost. Anything that belongs to you, from important documents to jewelry needs to be removed. This is something that needs to be done before to ensure their safety.

How Tesla Revolutionized the Auto Transport Field
When Tesla proposed the electric car idea, a few years ago, Elon Musk was clowned, embarrassed for thinking cars can really run off electricity. Now, this is idea is becoming a social norm that people are becoming used to. This is something that change how we look at cars forever. How is it wonderful, that we can look at a future without no gas in our cars. This isn’t where it stops. Tesla has now opened up the electric car to big wheeler trucks. Yes, I said it, a big wheeler truck. Sounds crazy right? Yup. This is something that auto transport will probably seeing in the future. We need to look to the future as sooner than later, we will be stopping at electric station to charge our cars. Let Just Auto Transport tell you more about the new invention.
The Details
Tesla has now change the game with one of the safest, most comfortable trucks on the market. This is very interesting because we know anything Elon is behind, it is next level. The truck has a 20 sec 0-60 time when holding 80,000 pounds. It boasts a high safety system the truck has, a program called AutoPilot. AutoPilot is the usual safety system, but has way more features than there competitors. Listen to what Tesla has to say about it, “Enhanced Autopilot helps avoid collisions a centered driver position provides maximum visibility and control, and a low center of gravity offers rollover protection. Every driver is responsible for remaining alert and active when using Autopilot, and must be prepared to take action at any time.” As taken from their cars, these semi-trucks have AutoPilot also. And the good features don’t stop their, these semi-trucks have the lowest cost of ownership according to Tesla. The regular truck runs on diesel, but Tesla says electric energy costs are half of diesel. That’s $200,000+ in fuel savings and also a two-year payback period. This is something that I know people who want to save money want and need to hear. Tesla has been future-forward with every invention possible. It is amazing how these ideas and designs are being implemented in the car every time another series comes out ! Honestly, this semi-truck seems to be a part of the collections of cars and bikes and automobiles in the future for Tesla. I support this semi-truck wholeheartedly.

Evolution of Auto Transport
Auto transport has came a long way. From the 19th century, auto transport has evolved throughout the years, with new inventions of automobiles designed to carry multiple cars at once. This is something that definitely made car purchases easy back then. Today, Just Auto Transport will take you back in time to show the history of evolution
First semi-truck – 1898
Scottish-American automobile designer and racer Alexander Winton, (June 20, 1860 – June 21, 1932), started automobile manufacturing in 1896 in Ohio. Now, as the demand for cars was rising, more people nationwide were buying more and more cars. He had to get them to people out of Ohio. He loading cars on top of a flat cart, attached on top of the engine and to the back of a modified truck, the first semi truck invented. After selling his first manufactured semi- truck in 1899, he didnt stop there. He proceed to get them manufactured under Winton Motor Carriage Company. Not to mention, he also sold them to other companies a year after his first sale. They also could transport goods.
The introduction of bi and tri-level auto transport carriers
Volkswagen engineers in collaboration with the German railroads designed a two-level flatcar that could carry 10 vehicles on one car. This was good because the previous automobile loaders was not successful for automobile manfanctures. Also in 1954 Evans Products developed a bi-level auto-loader that was able to carry six cars on a typical flatcar. Three years later, in 1957, Canadian National Railroad introduced the bi-level auto carriers which were similar to traditional boxcars but had 2 floors, could carry 8 vehicles and had doors at both ends. Another pivotal moment in the evolution of auto transport as we know it now. Today, we can see hints of these similar design schemes in new trucks.
Modern technology
Now, we see the big 18 wheeler trucks and open and enclosed trucks on our highways, and we have came a long way from flat cars and auto loaders. We have new technologies with new ways of doing things. This is something that has made auto transport easier and quicker. We have multiple ways to transport cars and now you dont even have to do the hard work, Just Auto Transport is doing it for you.

Things To Know Before Transporting Your Car Coast To Coast
So, you are planning on shipping your car from the east to the west coast, or vice versa? Moving to a new job, or relocating with family? We understand all of those things at Just Auto Transport and today we are going to give you advice as to how to safely and effectively move your car to its destination.
Firstly, you need to take into consideration the size and type of your car. Small compact sedans such as Honda Fit, Toyota Prius or the Toyota Yaris, will cost less than a Honda Accord. To transport mid-size vehicles like a sedan , or large-size vehicles like a SUV , it cost more due to the fact that they take up more space on the truck it is being shipped on. It also minimizes the space for other cars to get on the truck to go to the same place too.
Secondly, the longer distance the shipment is this the more expensive it tends to be. You have to factor in the case of gas, time, wear or tear on the truck and many other factors that can bring make the cost of these long distance shipments. It is very imperative to try to work out how much you will be spending, as you will end up having to pay a pretty penny.
Thirdly, is to approximate time of the delivery and the pickup. If you do not plan and book your shipment in advance, you will end up spending more money. A guaranteed shipment or a faster shipment will obviously cost more. You have to plan so that you do not end up spending more money than you need to. Not planning effectively will definitely cut into time that can be used to move, or spend time with family.
These are just some things that you should take into consideration when planning on shipping your car. Here at Just Auto Transport, we will be sure to make your car shipping experience comfortable and ideal. Safety is our number one goal, and we will make sure that your car is safe during transport.
